Message from the Headteacher

A very warm welcome to our website for Wroughton Infant Academy and Wroughton Junior Academy, two schools that work together to teach Gorleston children from Nursery to Year 6. Our website provides a range of information regarding our curriculum and policies, however, a large number of staff are on the playground each morning and after school – please feel free to speak to us in person.

Our local community is important to us at Wroughton and we value our relationships with parents and carers. Our children benefit from our close links to local churches, charities, businesses, secondary schools and East Norfolk Sixth Form College.

We have a hard-working, dedicated and supportive team of staff at Wroughton who want the children to be happy, successful and ready for the next stage of their education. Our mission is ‘Through the highest expectations, we ensure that children have the knowledge, understanding and skills to be confident and successful.’

We provide a broad and balanced curriculum, ensuring that all children have access to a good quality of education in all subjects. Children will learn to be a member of the wider community and will develop their understanding of a range of views and beliefs, including appreciation of British Values. We will support them as they develop as citizens and learn to work as part of a team.

We offer subsidised local and national educational visits to enhance our curriculum, including residential visits. To support our families, we offer before and after-school provision from 7.30am to 5.15pm, as well as a range of extra-curricular enrichment clubs. We are also very proud to support various charities and national events throughout the year.

If you have any questions or queries, please contact the school office on 01493 806780, or email enquiries@wroughtonacademies.org.uk

Best wishes,

Headteacher
