Trips and enrichment
Welcome to Wroughton Academy's Trips and Enrichment Opportunities page! At Wroughton Academy, we believe that learning extends beyond the classroom. Our diverse range of trips and enrichment activities are designed to inspire, educate, and provide our pupils with memorable experiences that enhance their academic and personal development.
Enrichment Opportunities
8 Billion Ideas Challenge
Our pupils participate in the innovative "8 Billion Ideas Challenge," which encourages them to think creatively and develop entrepreneurial skills. This challenge provides a platform for students to present their ideas and solutions to real-world problems, fostering critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Athlete Visit
We are proud to host visits from professional athletes who share their experiences and insights with our students. These visits inspire our pupils to pursue their passions, stay active, and understand the importance of dedication and perseverance in achieving their goals.
Creepy Crawley Roadshow
The "Creepy Crawley Roadshow" brings the wonders of the natural world into our school. Students have the opportunity to learn about various insects and reptiles, promoting curiosity and a deeper understanding of biodiversity and the environment.
Kingswood Residential
Our annual residential trip to Kingswood offers students a chance to engage in outdoor activities and team-building exercises. This experience helps to build resilience, independence, and collaborative skills in a fun and supportive environment.
Trips
Reception Police Visit
Our youngest students in Reception enjoy a visit from the local police. This visit helps to build positive relationships with law enforcement and teaches children about safety, community roles, and the importance of helping others.
EYFS Trip to the Sealife Centre
Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) pupils embark on an exciting trip to the Sealife Centre. This visit allows children to explore marine life, fostering a sense of wonder and appreciation for the natural world.
Visit to Norwich Castle Museum
Students visit the historic Norwich Castle Museum, where they explore exhibits on local history, archaeology, and art. This trip enriches their understanding of history and culture, providing a tangible connection to their studies.
