Curriculum

Welcome to Wroughton Academies' curriculum

Here, we provide an overview of our carefully designed curriculum, which ensures a seamless progression from the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) through Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2). Our approach is built on the principle of progressive learning, where children continuously build upon the knowledge, skills, and understanding acquired in previous years.

At Wroughton Academies, we believe in providing every pupil with the tools they need to fulfil their individual and academic potential. Our curriculum is designed to enable our pupils to become successful and confident citizens, making positive contributions to their local community, Britain, and the wider world.

You can find Curriculum Progression documents for each subject at the foot of this page.

The Importance of Reading

We cannot overstate the importance of reading across all areas of our curriculum. Reading is the foundation upon which all other learning is built, and we prioritise it in every subject from EYFS through to Year 6. We strongly encourage parents to support their child's education by making reading a priority at home. Regular reading not only enhances literacy skills but also broadens knowledge and understanding across all subjects.
